High Summer 2012

High Summer 2012 is proving to be “the best one yet”.

So much to report, so little time for the “internet”.

On July 22nd with had the triumphant reading of “The Pied Piper of Hamelin”, the last time we were able to host the reading here on a Sunday (the ideal day), at The New Great Hall by the Sea, was five (5) years ago.  It’ll be six (6) til we do that again.

But those “close to the Host” will always have the opportunity and advantage for the Live Reading in the years til then …

~~~
Then came Friday July 27th.
Herr O, the RocknRoll Docktor, had agreed to pick me up at Pure and we would then proceed to The New Great Hall by the Sea to have some Good Times and watch my most solemn film to date: “Free Bird”.
When I got into the “automobile” Visitor Blim was riding shotgun.
After we arrived and set up at The New Great Hall by the Sea Mr Y joined us.
It became, how do you say, ah yes: a Party.
There was an Ablution to kick things off:
We then took it inside for some great rounds of The Circle Game:
Some live Demos of The MidSummer NightMare Ensemble were featured, giving folks a further glimpse into Nightmare Rock.
Moved by momentum I got Sabitathica on the phone to “be with us” for “Night Mare IV”.
Then we got Tech Support on screen sharing to enjoy the world premiere of “Free Bird”
Because this wasn’t an Official Event, there was no catering offered. This may not have been a recommended course, but, you know: Now Today.
more words later …
Then Yesterday
Great times were had yesterday in The Garden at Fire Plaza and The New Great Hall by the Sea.
A marvelous collection of folks convened to remember the Events of July 22nd 1376.
Attendee’s:
The Host
The Wife
Janice
Joel and Amanda
Stephanie
Charles
Winthrop Frank
Holly
Johonna
Brother Jerome and Samadhi
WEB
and
Sako.
Amanda won the prize of a cherished plastic bird cage with singing artificial bird, making her the envy of all.
Winthrop Frank has become the first to achieve “The Now Today Grand Slam”.  He is the first to attend all OFFICIAL Now Today Cardinal Events consecutively.  If Tech Support had made it, they would’ve tied for the honour.
Be looking for the next Cardinal Event: Extensions Saturday 2012.
Midsummer …
~~~

The Summer Wrap up party on the fourth was a triumph, and now tis Mid-Summer …

We took Janice to visit Atlanta. Highlights included the hotel, The Gone With the Wind Museum, The Botanical Gardens, work on the film …

but, of course, nothing surpassed the Good Times at The Nunnery …

After months of preliminary “on line” work, we were finally able to sink our teeth into the new material “in the flesh” as it were. A full album of “nightmare rock” is in the works. This was not the “Now Today Ensemble” but the newly christened “The Midsummer Nightmare Ensemble”.

here is a video of one of the works to come:

Beautiful, right?

Beautiful Music

So tomorrow I fly to Atlanta to make beautiful music. An album of “Night Mare Rock”.

In the meantime you should check this pianist out.

I’ve been digging her via the “internet” for years now.
