Thanks to dispatches from The Host, I am familiar with what this artwork relates to, however the invitation to gaze and contemplate is a welcome one. My more focused look showed a theme of support beams, the sort of iron girders which support large buildings. This would suggest to me there is not only something anchoring about this, but a strong source of support. The contrasting lines also evoke a bridge to me, so perhaps this may be something that will lead or take us somewhere. This is also possibly indicated in the word “movement”. and then there is the open door, which ties in nicely with the other themes of support, strength, bridge…….
