  1. This comes as a shock. My sympathies to you and Marisa. Yukio remains a kitten to me, even as he grew into his full adulthood. Though he seemed to enjoy his solitude, I always appreciated those moments when we communed. His lush, soft coat invited my hands. He was tested from the very beginning of his arrival on the scene, yet he persevered and blossomed. May he ascend. And now as part of The One, may he and Aleister savor the bond which they began, free of the necessity of this world’s pecking orders. Let us not forget this gentle soul.

    • Thank you for your kind words. He was, in deed, a gentle soul. Sweet, quiet, strange. He loved being up high on his tower and watching the bustle of his little universe go by. He loved morning meditation time. He hated live music. Although he wasn’t as outgoing as Aleister or Willow, he’d often greet guests with a quiet head nudge. He was hard to figure out since his motivations were obscure. But he was one of the sweetest cats I’ve ever known.

  2. OH no!! I’m so sorry to hear about Yukio!!

He was a fine cat and lived a very long cat life… may he rest in peace.

(I suppose this means there’s a new cat position available at The NGHBtS??)

  3. Yukio was a dear sweet little kitten – who was scared s/less of me – as most people are. His sisters Willow and Chomps will be very lonely without him. Thank God he was in the arms of his loving parents – Derek and Marisa when his number was up.
