So, on Monday we had our annual Circle Game Christmas Party. Always a high point of the year. What added to the fun was about mid way thru the Home Depot chaps arrived with a new refrigerator! What wasn’t great was they had no intentions of taking the old one away. I managed to get the lads to leave it outside, but, the whole thing was a drag. I did, in fact, order the “disposal”. Later in the day, after a horrid bout of “being on hold” the Home Depot apologized and will take the old fridge away in 9 days for “free”. Moreover, I now possess a $50 gift card for “the future”.
Here are some striking images from the Circle:

Pretty nice, right?

The Honorable Mention goes to Holly, for her harrowing portrayal of Franks wife in “Pressure/Pride”.
Although there were many contenders for the mention, there can be only one winner.

Haverhast the Seventh goes to “Self Help Videos”

Although initially it seemed a “tough call”, upon scrutiny and revisitation, “Self Help Videos” was by far the only viable candidate for the Haverhast. David has brought a new level of craft to the collective. Let’s hope he continues to bring the horrorArt and not rest on his laurels.

But, you know, everyone is the real winner.
“The Descension” wins because of it’s concise message.
“Memories and Evolution” wins because of it’s nostalgic nod and it’s timely lesson.
“The Lost Bishop Film” wins because of the immense international effort made. And Al Gore.
“Cat Therapy” wins because of it’s actors and music.
“Pride/Pressure” wins because of the Mulone’s.
“Welcome to Your Nightmare” wins because of it’s photography.
“E14: Illsequitis” wins because of it’s script.
“a Medley Macabre” wins because of it’s heart-stopping final image.
“The Triskelion of Hastinine” wins because it was the best film ever made.
Keep up the good work!
The next event is the annual Dave Smart Welcome Dinner Party. Monday December 19th. Doors at 1900hrs. Dinner, the world premiere of “Now Today Week 2015” and the first rehearsal of this years New Years Eve Concert.

As we await the final judges to submit their analysis, there are a few bullet points about the award we’ll staple here.
Looking ahead, I’m thinking we should embrace the past a little. Whether it’s under the production house of this or that name (eg: “Now Today Society Presents”), that’s all well and good, but I propose going forward, films created, at least in part for eSaturday, will give nod to where it all started.
Do consider adding this to future films:
