As we await the final judges to submit their analysis, there are a few bullet points about the award we’ll staple here.

• It is a nod to creative artisanship in the domain of cinema technique
• It is a recognition of excellence in said technique
• as we constantly draw closer to the ideal of “horror art” is must be in accordance to advancing said ideal
• we would rather not rule anything out, but the more original the entire content, the better it serves the ideal
• it is rarely the peoples choice

Looking ahead, I’m thinking we should embrace the past a little.  Whether it’s under the production house of this or that name (eg: “Now Today Society Presents”), that’s all well and good, but I propose going forward, films created, at least in part for eSaturday, will give nod to where it all started.
