The Late Winter Nightmare Ensemble 2018

~~~
So, Chip Anderson (of “The Two Goofs” and “Welcome to the Club” fame) hosted some sort of Quarter Moon Party last Friday.  After a big day at the Salon I hired a car to visit Brother Jerome, where we spent an hour catching up, digging music, and pacing.
Well fortified with the spirit, I made my way to Chip Adderson’s.  Chip is room mates with two woman who are involved in academia.  They had friends. etc.  It was a tough start, people arriving etc, but the power of the Good Times shone through and we delivered the goods: in Triumph.
If the music isn’t quite your cup, zoom to the last minute or so to hear the audience “singing along”.
Set List:
Nightmare I
Nightmare II
Then Yesterday
~~~

In the late spring of 1990 The Missionary Position had become a power trio.  Reaching new heights of sonic glory.  For, what seems inexplicable reasons, the band would finish later that summer.  Here is a taste of what they were at that time:

(This historical footage features many who are “no longer with us” …)

On going study …

~~~
Every once in a while it’s necessary to return to previous sources of inspiration. Yesterday’s Circle was quite alternative but still in keeping with the robust spirit of TNTS, the Circle, and beyond.
We began by a screening of this:
Often when we screen a film we have a midpoint Intermission. This exquisitely crafted film demanded a break with each chapter. It allowed a moment for clarity before proceeding. Moreover, it was akin to celebrating the four quarters of the Circle!
Post film we did an on call mingling with live videos from YouTube, a newish horizon for study.
OLG delivered the Sushi Party Boat for 3-4.
So good, avec saké:
Captain Cat totally enjoyed the film. Sadly, the guests had no “extra” sashimi for him …
Now Today!
