So, yesterday we hosted a Circle Game to honour BMF’s birthday. Let’s let the photographs tell the story:

Pretty nice, right?

So, last Sunday, Visitor Blim and I took the train to NY3 and met Tech Support. From there we went “One Way to Red Bank” New Jersey to see King Crimson play. The concert featured two sets of music, the highlight being a suite of material from “Lizard”. On the train down Blim and I managed 4 circles. They looked like this:

Pretty nice, right?
Here are some of the Good Times:

On the journey home, 3 more circles:

I stopped at Little Asia before making it home. This seemed a fitting piece of paper that came in the cookie that comes with the check:

For those interested in more of a “full immersion” experience of the “One Way to Red Bank” adventure, the 42 minute film awaits:
(Like all TNTS films, best on the big screen)

On the eve of the annual Summer Wrap Party on the fourth, The Summer Nightmare Ensemble played a concert at Das Beach Häus. We opened for BMF’s act “Myocaster Coypus”. Here is the cleaned up video, a little sloppy at times, but, still: beautiful:

So yesterday we hosted the OFFICIAL listening party of Roger’s new album

Not sure who I’d recommend it to, but it is excellent. Perhaps having someone else produce made all the difference.
I’m thinking it’s his best work (easily) since “The Final Cut”.
I wish he’d tour that and this album together.

May 14th quickly became the 15th. Visitor Blim arrived and we had another Circle. The day featured local lamb as the special guest:

Here’s what was played:

Right as the Caliph left, “Whirlpool Patrick” came to resolve a domestic issue that had been ongoing for weeks. Under the watchful eye of Captain Cat, we now have a working fridge with bells and whistles (for now):

In other news, RIP Powers Boothe. An actor of the highest degree of excellence and dignity. From his tour de force as Jim Jones:

As ever, the date has a profound resonance.
This year we coincided with Mother’s Day.
This year we had our first Sunday Night 3 Person Circle on May 14th.
One time Groove Factor MC John Loring returned for his second Circle. He was joined by me and BMF.
The Good Times:

This “art” shot features the cutting board that once held the kielbasa. Served with the kielbasa was mustard, bbq sauce, and the famous “2000 Island” dressing. Swirled into this aftermath:

We managed 3 full Olympic Standard Circles, fueled by “Allen’s Ginger Brandy”:

Pretty nice, right?
Going back in time to last monday, we managed another 3 person circle. Again with BMF and Visitor Blim. Manhattan seems on sabbatical, in lieu for the refreshing soda water, lime, and Don Julio:
The Good Times:
Captain Cat inspects

Lamb coconut curry on the left, a sufficient offering for the luncheon. Egg and vegetables on the right for the host to begin the day:

Refreshment:

Extreme photography. The Captain and the club lights, no filter:
