Nominee for Haverhast: The Accolade
E-Saturday “Brett’s Perspective”

2. “Welcome to the Club” 24 minutes By Vlindinhauer Haverhast (H2) and DJ M & the F Jam Great score, great slow burn and twist. Extra point for repeated use of fart sound. Relevant Mitch Hedberg joke you may enjoy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyFvGL3Z5F8 9/10
3. “The Accolade” 7 minutes By Mr Y (H5) Best production value, great effects and editing. 8/10
5. “Banned ’74: behind the music” 8 minutes
Funniest. Great film
7/10
6. “Steven” 22 minutes By Vlindinhauer Haverhast (H2)
Great work of Horror. Loved the final scene7/10
7. ” … and I never saw her again” By Vlindinhauer Haverhast (H2) Great visuals, great soundtrack 6/10
8. “Rain Falls on our Shadows” about 6 minutes By Persephone Haverhast (H3) Immersive work, beautiful shots 6/10
9. “The Ascension” Spiritual Art by DJ M & the F Jam Very powerful. So beautifully simple that commentary becomes imposing and unnecessary. 10/10
E-Saturday “Blim’s Perspective”

“Welcome to the Club” 24 minutes
By Vlindinhauer Haverhast (H2) and DJ M & the F Jam
**A fine piece of work with an ensemble cast. I was intrigued and really wanted to know how it was all going to end. I was really digging it up until the “fecal sculpture”. A real Haverhast contender, but dare I say just maybe the “special effects” let it down in the end. (7/10)
“The Accolade” 7 minutes
By Mr Y
**A very nice follow up to last year’s award winning film. Great use of the “Haverhast award prop” within the film as well. Certainly a contender again this year, but was it enough to take home the coveted award two years in a row? (7/10)
“Medley Macabre” 10 minutes (?)
By F2 (H4)
**Apparently disqualified? I was really looking forward to this one, but unfortunately it was unavailable for my personal screening.
“Banned ’74: behind the music” 8 minutes
By Herr O
**A very pleasant surprise. After years of promises, Herr O finally delivers the goods. A coherent piece with lots of laugh out loud moments as well as some fine acting. I can’t believe it myself, but it’s got to be a strong contender for the Haverhast this year. (8/10)
“Steven” 22 minutes
By Vlindinhauer Haverhast (H2)
**One of my favorite films of the evening, but then again I probably have an inherent bias for this one. Perhaps it’s necessary for me to recuse myself. Will we ever hear from Steven Ghostly again? Could there be a sequel? I’m sure we all would like to know. (8/10)
” … and I never saw her again”
By Vlindinhauer Haverhast (H2)
**Beautiful cinematography. Great soundtrack. Is it a film or a rock music video? (6/10)
“Rain Falls on our Shadows” about 6 minutes
By Persephone Haverhast (H3)
**Again, more of a music video than film. Certainly an artistic statement, but Haverhast worthy? I’m not so sure… (6/10)
“The Ascension”
Spiritual Art by DJ M & the F Jam
**There’s something beautiful in it’s simplicity. Apparently a controversial film. I personally enjoyed it, but is it Haverhast worthy??

Preview of the Programme
The Momentum Builds …
~~~
As we spiral into what is destined to be one of the great E-Saturday’s of all time, here are some links to “get you psyched”:
From last year, some say what should’ve won the Haverhast, “The Search Party”:
… and from 2 years ago, what many believe to have been “the most elegantly frightening work ever”, “The Round Table”:
…. and maybe a helpful documentary about the “Extensions” phenomenon itself (now 6 years old and in need for some new chapters:
… and be sure to review last year’s programme by revisiting May 14th, then yesterday:
E-Saturday 2015 (UPDATE!)
~~~
We are still anticipating more submissions at this point. The current Programme is looking thus:
“The Carpet”
“The Carpet II”
“Extensions XIII: The Carpet III/Taipai 2005”
New Works:
“Welcome to the Club” – a new work of modern extreme horror art by Vlindinhauer Haverhast in association with DJ M and the F jam.
“The Accolade” a short film of actualization horror by Mr Y
“Medley Macabre” from F2
“Herr O: Submission” from Herr O
Working title: Steven: a new work of ultimate extreme horror by Vlindinhauer Haverhast
We are hoping past Haverhast winners F2, Persephone Haverhast, Tech Support, and now: Mr Y will angle for their 2nd Haverhast.
Not to mention, Visitor Blim and Herr O are well due for a winner…
Meanwhile, a glimpse into the horror to come:

It’s that time of year again, HBD to Mr Y!
On this day in 1403 he was born.
(I think)
This photographic portrait was the last one I took of him to date, here he is pictured having a really good time:
Speaking of time, no time to make a tribute film, so, “as a treat” we offer links to previous tribute films:
Pretty cool, right?
See you on Extensions Saturday!
