The Late Summer Nightmare Ensemble met in Central Park and rehearsed the current set list. Broadcast via Periscope. Here is some photographic evidence followed by a link. More reflection to follow:
Enjoy!

“As you know, I like all kinds of music, as you know …”
I guess there’s some new film/album about and by west coast recording artists near, around, or in Compton.
I know near nothing of the genre. When I hear it in proper settings (e.g. the Circle) it always sounds tremendous.
Anyway, a fad on the Internet has been customizing some “gangsta” shit to thy own ‘hood, as it were.
Here is the collection I created:
Not the usual m.o. but kinda cool.
Questions welcomed

… It’s true.
The OFFICIAL Memorial Event for Sir Christopher Lee was perhaps among the finest ever hosted here at The New Great Hall by the Sea.
OLG provided the catering, and they were definitely on the “A” game.
The Host was making Rye Manhattans for all those interested.
“Horror of Dracula” has never looked and sounded so good. And twas best to be in the company of good fellowship as the Good Count Dracula was utterly betrayed.
After a spell of Good Times and mingling we were delighted to see the Master from 1978 as he hosted Saturday Night Live.
Laughs a-plenty.
After more good times, mingling, and reflection we had our first go at chorale work.
With a bit of dice roll the teams were determined. Herr O and Visitor Blim sang the chorus while a Tech Support and I sang the verses. Paul drew “wild card”.
The Now Today Chorale debuted with “Comfortably Numb”.
We ran it 3 times, with minimal direction. When not singing we were invited to “drone”.
As an encore we ran “Gimme Three Steps”, once.

Revised Programme:
1900hrs: Doors, followed by Good Times and mingling.
2000hrs: Special Now Today Presentation
2005hrs: “Horror of Dracula”
2130hrs: Good Times, mingling, and an opportunity for Reflection.
2200hrs: a collection of short bits.
2230hrs: Good Times, mingling, etc
2300hrs: TBD
All times are approximate.
Catering by OLG.
A mild adjustment has already taken place. Stay tuned for further details. As ever, your comments, questions and concerns are welcome.
Do consider bringing a film along for consideration for the “TBD” slot in the programme. If time and enthusiasm allows.

From here til the Annual Summer Wrap party on July 4th, busy times continue. As many of you know, The Wife and I returned to NY3 over the weekend. One of the many discoveries made on this adventure was this Egyptian Obelisk:
I’m sure many of you read about the discovery in the papers. Here is the moment of discovery:
As a “Beatles” enthusiast, we also braved our way to the legendary plot of land planted by the Beatles some millennia ago. However we saw no Strawberries. I reckon the locals devoured them upon first bloom:
Here we see The Host enjoying a Manhattan in Manhattan, also in Central Park:
Pictured here is a Manhattan at an Irish bar:

(Note the disconnect along the right side of Central Park is due to “user error”):
Currently playing is the first of two compact disks I received for being willingly robbed on 7th avenue. $15 isn’t too bad for two autographed CD’s by local artists peddling their wares … I guess. These are not going into the iMac anytime soon, but for now these “tracks” are making strangely urban sounds here at TNGHbtS. Some bits are getting catchy. Who knows … maybe these will inspire the evolution of DJ-M …
