Free Bird

~~~
Janice sent me a text this morning, apparently today is Ronnie Van Zant’s birthday.  He would’ve been 63.  Imus was playing Freebird on his morning program as a tribute.  So between that, and numerous requests to see my documentary aired, it’s now on youtube.  I guess it was too big for vimeo.  I suspect the audio will be shut down in days ahead so check it out ASAP:
The documentary marks the transitional time between salons, the spiritual journey in Jacksonville, a love of Good Times, and love of my wife.
… and life.
The 13th recap
~~~

A grand feast day it was.  Joined by Visitor Blim and Winthrop Frank, we executed two complete Full Olympic Standard Three-Person Circles, with the novel variation of Host going First.

Pretty nice, right?

The last song was also played by The Host as Exit music.

An Indianne Lamb feast was prepared and enjoyed on The Table.

January 13th

Mr Gurdjieff’s birthday has been celebrated for many years, even during his lifetime, on January 13th.  This year the local Society held it’s annual feast on Saturday the 11th.

This year the actual 13th is on a Monday, and being “free”, We, here at The New Great Hall by the Sea will be having a special Circle Game Feast.

Coincidentally, or perhaps not-so coincidentally, Robert Fripp (a well-known advocate of many aspects of what Gurdjieff presented and probably the first point of introduction for many May 14th readers) has made it known that  King Crimson first rehearsed on January 13th 1969.

Should make for an interesting Celebration and Feast.  Make contact if Available.

The Dinner was a Persian Saffron Chicken over brown rice with whole wheat naan. Cava and Sparkling wine from California in the “method champagnaise” accompanied. Dessert was profiteroles with Turkish coffee and armagnac. None of the above is pictured.

Hopefully we’ll see some of you in the Holidaze Ahead!
