The Start of a Fortnight in “bachelorhood”

~~~
Marisa has taken her Mum on holiday to the United Kingdom for two weeks.  So, I’ve had a lot of this in my face:
Image
On Thursday Visitor Blim (aka “Mikro-Glycerin) pict up me and WF and we went to Demoulas for some protein.  6 Lobsters, a bag of mussels, a boneless leg of lamb, and trout.  We returned to The Garden at Fire Plaza and proceeded to steam the lobster in a tasty broth of white wine, sea water, thyme, tarragon, parsley, and scallion.
After a gruelling afternoon of The Circle Game, we, for some reason had a Nightcap at OLG:
The Next Morning as WF joined me for the walk to the T I got word of two cancellations, essentially canceling my day at Pure.  It being “Friday the 13th” we took that as a “sign” and paid our respects at The Rock of Sanity:
The Next Morning we hit The Pour House en route to Pure, a usual Saturday AM activity:
That night The Circle Game resumed:
As the Event proceeded WF kept pushing the idea of a Four Circle Cycle as a new Standard of sorts.  By the End of the Event a new standard was in fact formalized:
The 2 Person Hellequin Standard.
a four circle cycle.  Circle 1 and 3 are identical to the 2 person Full Olympic Standard.  Circles 2 and 4 have The Host going first.  The Stations remain as they are, but the players are delighted to a refreshing juxtapostion.  As we were carving out this new pattern, which WF (aka The Sheriff) was adamantly spearheading, the notion of olde-world “harlequin” was coming to me.  A trip to wikipedia (CLICK HERE)proved fruitful, helping us identify what we are now in possession of.  The New 2-Person Hellequin Standard.
Here’s the setlist:
pretty nice, right?
After WF left, there was a beautiful, yet strange afterglow in the aftermath:
Hopefully everyone is still having a Good Time …
One response to “The Start of a Fortnight in “bachelorhood”
  1. I cannot help but be reminded of the film “Viola” – where a man is convinced his late wife has returned to haunt him in the form of a cat. Ravi Shankar’s exquisite “Transmigration Macabre” album chronicles the harrowing emotional turmoil such a scenario surely creates. Perhaps the photo above is the spirit of Witnhrop Frank, remaining in his beloved Circle as his human form fulfills his other physical realm obligations. Or, indeed, perhaps it is none other than The Wife, watching over The Host in his bachelorhood.
