New board, now functional for 3 or 4 person circles. Far, far from complete, but now usable.
Yesterday we had three three person circles.
The middle circle, songs 13 through 24, we engaged the rarely executed “Hellequin” option. Meaning, we reversed the order of the circle. It took all of our collective mind power to keep it honest and we did, and what great rewards ensued! And then, for the third and final circle, we proceeded as normal. Very interesting curling in and curling out of song selection and stations of the circle.

When reversing the order, are adjustments made to the order selection? I struggle to even articulate the question! For example, if The Host makes the selection which closes Circle 1, would The Host then kick off Circle 2 selections?
The new board is beautiful!! It does not appear BMF will have to amend his body to reflect the new board.
This new Bid’ah strikes me as sound, and though my feeble mind struggles to grasp it in its fullness at this time, it seems to confirm my longstanding belief that the Circle Game is somehow a gateway to the Infinite.
Now Today.
Yes, brother, you are correct. The Host was third, and therefore ends the circle. The second circle starts with him. It’s quite invigorating, the last quarter goes danse/mingle/danse; the first quarter of the 2nd circle (invoking the Hellequin),is a danse/mingle/danse. And just as the 2nd circle now ends with 3 seaters, so does the third circle begin. The Caliph was player 1, so he ends the circle then starts the 3rd standard circle. A thing of mystery and beauty.
The utmost of discipline is required.
