High Summer 2013

~~~
A solid week into High Summer 2013.
Counting down to Black Sabbath Monday Live on The 12th.
It’s looking like Brother Jerome will be attending the day long Circle Game here at The New Great Hall by the Sea whilst we await the arrival of Visitor Blim and his transport service. Good Times indeed are awaiting Soon Tomorrow …
But we should all be on the look out for other good times. I know there’s been a hankering for “The Horror Vignettes”.
With the clock now ticking for Extensions Saturday, lets find a Saturday beforehand to revisit this staggering collection of Horror.
13 and other triumphs
What an Event
Winthrop Frank and I met Brother Jerome and trained South:
Mr Y pict us up and we made our way to Zone Underground Duxbury (ZUD).
There we undertook the Worlds First Five Person Full Olympic Standard Circle Game:
But first a trip to the bog:
At 20 songs a circle, and various Stations to attend, the charts were of great use:
Herr O (The RocknRoll Docktor) joined during the Second Circle as “Observer”:
After the two Circles we went “a la carte” until there was no one left standing.
Visitor 1: Winthrop Frank (aka The Sheriff)
Visitor 2: Mr Y (coiner of the “a la carte”)
Visitor 3: Brother Jerome
Visitor 4: DJM (The Sheikh)
The Host: Visitor Blim (Caliph)
After song 40 it became “A la carte”:
pretty nice, right?
At 0600hrs we re-assembled for coffee, morning Sitting, then OTM to the OFFICIAL Black Sabbath “13” Listening Party along The Kings Highway on Cod Island. The purpose was to determine whether or not “13” would become a part of the Programme on future Black Sabbath Mondays:
The Verdict was unanimous:
Yes.
Many thanks to all the participants. Mr Y providing limo service (at great personal sacrifice), Herr O as a cooperative Observer helped keep us from getting “de railed”, and 2000 thanks are offered to Visitor Blim as both Host and Driver at both Events. His constitution was staggering, nay, miraculous in light of all that transpired.
Special Thanks go out to Ozzy and Black Sabbath for not only not-sucking, but delivering goods we can all be proud of.
“God Bless You All.”
In Preparation
~~~

Yesterday Winthrop Frank came over. After watching some Spanish language film we played The Circle Game for about 6 hours. “A la carte” as it were. Mostly Mingling, but there were a few Circle Danses, Sky View, and the newly developed (although not an OFFICIAL Station as yet) Circle Candle.

Here is was went down:

Pretty nice, right?

We looked at it as Preparation for what is looking like a real high-water mark in terms of Good Times this MidSummer.

More preparations:

Some newly sketched Circles of Games for players 3 -7.

… and the new “SIFTM” cards … hopefully just having them around will keep us from actually needing to issue any.

You get three and you are benched for a Circle.

Mid Summer

Mid Summer

Mid Summer is here. As with full heat and humidity. Some damn Good Times ahead.

One of the early achievements was a impromptu Circle Game with Janice!

We were kickin it poolside at the Inn at Crystal Cove when we had a sudden volley via YouTube.

“Push it to the Limit” – Scarface Soundtrack

“DOA” – Bloodrock

“Teen Angel” – Mark Dinning

“Emma” – Hot Chocolate

“Bye Bye Life” – All That Jazz finale

“Not Now John” – Pink Floyd

Janice pict 2,3,5. Yes, a little unconventional Game- play, but what a privilege!

Summer Wrap Up

~~~
July the First already, just a few days left of Summer.
The Dining Hall I’ve converted into a workshop, and looks a little like this:
IMG_1418
I’ve taken on a steady of wood carving (it began about two years ago) in conjunction with some of my spiritual studies. One of my projects this SummerTime will be carving a Circle for a Circle Game Demon-stration.
Some of you have probably seen this:
A rough of the never-attempted 6 person Game.
Who knows, maybe Mid-Summer may afford an opportunity …
Speaking of opportunities, if anyone is considering attending the Summer Wrap Party of the Fourth let me know. If I’ve already addressed the issue with you you need not duplicate the conversation.
Here is one of the highlights from last year:
IMG_1458
Turkish Coffee and armagnac, to “get ready” for the fireworks. Some say “The Best in the Commonwealth”.
… and to conclude, my occasional Monday Night adventure to Ceremony should continue tonight. After the venue remodeled for a month it’ll be interesting to check out the new digs. Here is a rare photograph of The Host showing off his mad-excellent danse moves (some Circle Danse to be sure):
Hopefully we’ll see some of you before the Autumn.
… and this …
So much going on, and now … sabbatical. I’ll be “out of touch” until next Wednesday. Some select correspondence is available … but it best be good. I leave you to contemplate the following image and it’s origins:
More Circles
~~~

Yesterday witnessed an historic Three-person Full Olympic Circle Game.

Here were the participants:

… and here is what was played:

After song 21 (I Believe), a Circle Danse, things got confusing … it looks like perhaps it was the catering …

From here on out we have The Host and Visitor II (WF) enjoying a few more good times.

Persian Curry of chicken, eggplant, potato, and pea was the main dish, served with brown rice.

Sam Adams Lager and Cisco Brewery Summer Lager were on hand.

Mescal for Fire Water

… and Turkish Coffee.
